The Aman Hotel at Diriyah Gate is a boutique luxury hospitality development located in Bujairi, the lifestyle and cultural hub of the wider Diriyah Gate masterplan in Saudi Arabia. The property overlooks the At-Turaif UNESCO World Heritage Site, placing it within one of the Kingdom’s most historically significant destinations.
Aman Resorts are internationally recognised for their exclusive, design-led hospitality model, centred on privacy, discretion and highly personalised service. The Diriyah Gate property reflects this approach, requiring refined architectural detailing, careful integration with the surrounding heritage environment and alignment with the broader master development programme.
As part of a large-scale giga-project in a culturally sensitive location, the development required disciplined design coordination, structured milestone management and robust programme governance to ensure timely progression within a complex stakeholder environment.
Critical Path was appointed by Killa Design to develop an accurate and maintainable integrated design programme and establish a structured reporting framework to provide programme visibility to both Killa Design and the client.
The scope included preparation of a comprehensive baseline design programme to enable performance measurement and milestone tracking across all design disciplines. Particular focus was placed on logical sequencing, coordination between consultants and alignment with overarching Diriyah Gate development timelines.
Critical Path implemented a structured reporting system, including weekly programme status updates, milestone reporting and detailed review and analysis of critical path activities. This approach strengthened visibility of schedule performance and enabled early identification of potential risks to design progression.
Through disciplined design programme management and structured reporting processes, Critical Path enhanced governance, improved transparency and supported informed decision-making on this high-profile hospitality development within a UNESCO heritage context.
