ISO 9001

ISO 9001 is an internationally recognised certificate showing an organisation's effective quality management system. It is the most widely recognised quality management system globally and proves that your company does what it says it will.

Once your business has successfully achieved the ISO 9001, it becomes a badge of quality by placing this on your website and marketing content, telling existing and prospective clients that it’s a professional organisation that meets the highest standards.

History of the ISO 9001 Standard

The International Organisation created the ISO 9001 for Standardisation, an independent, non-governmental body with a membership comprising 162 national standards bodies.

It is one of the ISO 9000 group of quality management system standards, helping organisations meet their customers’ needs by bringing together experts to develop market-relevant, international standards to provide solutions to global challenges and support innovation.

ISO standards are regularly reviewed to ascertain if any revisions are needed to keep them current. For example, the ISO 9001 standard was revised in 2015 to ensure it retained its ability to help businesses provide services and products that meet customers’ needs.

What is the focus of ISO 9001?

The ISO 9001 standard provides an integrated approach to managing your business, putting quality at the forefront. It focuses on continually improving your organisation and the quality of service and product delivery to your customers.

ISO 9001 aims to improve your internal quality processes and procedures, proving your commitment to quality management via external verification.
